I received a call from a woman with a foreign accent, and she was jabbering away in a language I couldn't decipher at all. I get the impression it may have been either Chinese or perhaps Japanese. The whole thing felt like it was coming from some sort of international call centre!

This definitely looks like one of those scams. If someone calls saying they're from Carphone Warehouse, it's usually dodgy. I'd just hang up straight away if I were you. Better safe than sorry with these calls.

Got a call from 02080581380 the other day, this bloke said he was from EE Office and was pushing a monthly deal that sounded pretty good. Things got a bit dodgy though, when he started asking for my bank card info to sort out a direct debit. Felt off to me, so I didn't give anything away.
