I tried to call back, but I got a busy tone instead.3 yearsI received a dodgy call from someone looking for individuals who've encountered issues with their social housing. It sounded like they were trying to gather details to pass on to lawyers. The thing is, I’m not in social housing at all! When I told them I had no idea why they were contacting me and inquired how they got my number, they promptly ended the call. When I questioned him on how he'd obtained my details, he abruptly terminated the conversation. The bloke had an Indian accent. He totally butchered the pronunciation of my name, so I kindly informed him that he’d dialled the incorrect number. To my surprise, he just hung up on me! How delightful... I did my best to be as non-specific as possible until they finally decided to hang up. Normally, I wouldn't bother picking up unknown numbers, but with my job search on, I feel obliged to answer.
