This number rings me up quite a lot during the week. Each time it’s a different person on the line. At first, I assumed it was Sky since I’m a subscriber. I had a quick chat with them, and they seemed nice enough, mentioning some kind of deal to lower my bills. Things got suspicious when they started requesting personal details, so I contacted Sky myself to verify. Turns out it’s been a scam all along. Feels like they might have somehow got hold of Sky customers’ info. Been like this for nearly a year now.

Loads of calls claiming to be Vodafone have been coming through on my phone recently. Funny thing is, the number always begins with 0208058.

Loads of calls from numbers beginning with 020 8058 keep popping up. The dodgy callers seem to switch up the final four digits all the time. Thankfully, O2’s automatic block on my account stops them ringing through, so I just see a missed call alert and that’s it.

I just received a call from 02080581602, and I suspect it’s one of those dodgy scam numbers. I've gone ahead and blocked it. Better safe than sorry!

I keep getting bombarded with calls from this number-it's relentless! I've already gone through that whole 'accident' narrative they pull, which seems to be some sort of dodgy scam likely coming from Pakistan. Quite the nuisance, really!

I keep getting two or three calls a day from this number. I've tried blocking all of them, yet I find that each time they call, there’s just a slight variation at the end of the 0208058. What's worse is if I remove any of the blocked numbers, they're no longer blocked, which means my blocked list just keeps growing. It's quite a nuisance, to be honest!

I’ve been inundated with a barrage of scam calls from various London numbers, particularly those beginning with:

020 3986
020 3789
020 8058

(I can only imagine more will crop up as they’ve been continuously switching.)

I’ve taken to ignoring any calls that originate from “London” entirely-it's a straight block for me now.

I unintentionally returned one of their calls only to hear “this number is not recognised”-a clear indication that these nefarious individuals are employing number spoofing, which explains why they never stick to the same digits for long.

I’m sharing this message on all the “call verification” sites I can find to warn others, and I’d like to urge any legitimate London callers to consider sending a text message with the purpose of their call. I fear we might see a surge of London numbers getting blocked left, right, and centre.
