I received a rather alarming call from this number, with the caller claiming to represent the National Crime Agency. They informed me that my national insurance number had been suspended due to an alleged fraud amounting to a staggering £700,000. Apparently, my details have been misappropriated across England, Ireland, and Scotland, with seven accounts linked to my national insurance. It was quite clear that this was a scam, as the woman’s grasp of English was rather poor and she seemed unaware of my identity before ringing me.
