The bloke on the phone said he wasn’t trying to sell me anything or get me to upgrade, just that I could get £40 back on fuel since I pay by direct debit and shop at Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s. I told him I work for Tesco, so I’d surely qualify as staff, but as soon as I mentioned that, he just hung up... which is odd because I don’t actually work there!

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE, saying I could get a discount on my bill - problem is, I’m not even a customer. As soon as I told them that, they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE, trying to sell me a half-price deal on my monthly fees. I asked for my account number to see if they were legit and as soon as I did, they just ended the call. Total scam.
