An unknown number rang me yesterday, and I decided to pick up. To my surprise, it turned out to be a dodgy scammer inquiring whether I’d been involved in a car crash. I thought I’d have a bit of a laugh and told him I’d had a nasty accident a few weeks back and was eagerly awaiting a hefty insurance settlement. He seemed quite chuffed at first, but it didn’t take long for him to twig that I was just messing about. He promptly ended the call!
