Somebody rang me claiming to be Sarah, and they even knew my name. They chatted about a trip to Spain but then abruptly ended the call. After a moment, I figured it was probably a scam.

Got a ring from this number today, they said I’d won a three-night trip either here in the UK or somewhere in Europe. I told them I wasn’t able to go and joked that they should take the holiday themselves. Ended the call and made sure to block the number right after.

It felt like a call centre for sure. They had my first name but totally butchered how it’s said. I just ended the call straight away.

This bloke was really courteous and called me by my name, saying I'd won a free three-night holiday anywhere I fancied. Then he asked me where I'd like to visit. I told him I'd rather pay for my petrol first since I was stuck at a service station, and giving out my card info was totally out of the question. I quickly ended the call and blocked the number. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is - these scammers are just after your bank info to empty your account. Watch out for this kind of trickery.

Just like others have said, they even had my full name. Watch out for this one.

Got a call from a woman saying I've won a holiday for free. She was trying to get my card info... total scam!

Got a call from some woman named Sarah, saying she’s with Royal Travel or something like that. She started with the usual spiel, saying I’d won a 3-night holiday. I told her straight away I wasn’t interested and to stop wasting my time. Then she said they had the wrong last name for me and wanted my card info so they could “fix” it or whatever. I wasn’t having any of that nonsense, told her to jog on, then ended the call.

So this person rings up saying they’re with Royal Travel Services, offering me a trip anywhere in Europe since apparently I bought something from one of their partners. I just gave nonsense replies to all their questions and then they ended up hanging up on me!

I got a call from this number and surprisingly they knew my name right away, which freaked me out because I never order stuff on the internet and I’m definitely on the no marketing list with the council. When I said I wasn’t interested they kept pushing, way too much for my liking. I just ended up hanging up and blocked the number straight away. Wouldn’t recommend picking up if you get a call from here.

A woman called me and used my first name right away, telling me I'd won a three-night hotel stay or something like that - can’t quite recall the details. I’m pretty good at spotting dodgy calls from a long way off, so I didn’t entertain her at all. I just kept quiet and ended the call sharpish. The phone hasn’t buzzed since, but if she tries again, I’ve saved the number and I’ll be prepared. Bet she won’t want to call me twice, you know what I mean?

Like some others have said here, I just let the caller run on with his usual patter. After he finished, I told him I was aware it was a scam and if he mailed me any paperwork, I’d gladly send over the £2.99. Guess what? He suddenly lost interest in that idea!

Got a call from someone pretending to offer holiday deals, but it was clear they wanted my card info. While we were chatting, I looked up the number and saw quite a few other comments warning about it. I told the caller what I found and they quickly ended the call.

Got called about this “3 night holiday” deal for £2.99, think it’s the same number mentioned here. I played along at first, but then they asked if I was still at an address I moved out of like 16 years ago! Makes no sense for a current survey, right? After that, they just went silent and I ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming I’d won a two-week holiday anywhere in the UK because I’d supposedly bought some mobility gear and was entered in a prize draw. I told him he had the wrong info, but then he used my last name and even said the first part of my address. I ended the call straight away and blocked the number. I usually don’t pick up strange numbers, but I was expecting a call and didn’t check who was ringing. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Got a call on my work phone from Trading Standards about winning a 3 night holiday in the UK or Europe, something about a survey I did or a purchase from their partners? Sounded fishy so I’ve blocked the number already. Pretty sure it was a total scam!

Was quite taken aback to find a voicemail from this number, considering my phone never rang at all. When I checked the message, it was empty. Feels like it might be a scam, to be honest.

Received a call about a holiday deal, but they wanted to charge me £2.99 just to get their info pack. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

I picked up while waiting for a call from my doctor. It was a complete con about free holidays and trips. You could tell straight away it was coming from overseas. They actually used my real name! They must’ve thought I’m daft or something.

I got a call from a woman saying I’d won a three-night trip to Barcelona, claiming it was because of a purchase I supposedly made with one of their affiliates. I cut the call short, thinking it was just a sneaky way to get my bank information.

Got a call claiming I’d won a 3-night holiday for buying something from one of their partners. When I asked which company it was, they couldn’t give a straight answer, said they work with loads of catalogues and travel firms. They said the trip was worth over £600, and I’d only need to cover £2.99 postage. I hung up right away. Definitely a SCAM. If they get hold of your card info, they’ll clean out your bank account.
