Of course, he didn’t know where I lived so I gave him a made-up address. Easylife keeps getting flagged for data protection issues. Luckily, my phone automatically saves calls, so I’m sending the recording off to the Information Commissioner.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Virgin, saying there'd been suspicious charges on my card and they had to cancel it. I asked for proof they were really from Virgin, and he told me to check the number on the back of my card. He then tried to get my card details. I gave a few digits but soon got suspicious and ended the call. I rang Virgin afterwards and they confirmed it was a scam. I've since blocked the card. The number he used is legit, so if you're unsure, just hang up and ring Virgin directly.
