I received a rather disingenuous call from a woman whose overly cheerful tone was matched only by her monotonous drone. She mentioned something about books for £189 being dispatched this week and that this so-called campaign was wrapping up, all the while expressing gratitude for our "support." To be clear, we had absolutely no clue about any of this and certainly hadn't agreed to or paid for anything. Her parting shot was a rather ominous threat to pass our details on to the contracts department if we dared to refuse payment. It’s incredibly disheartening to encounter such shifty characters during these times.

Matched the previous experience - the call ended abruptly before she could even mention any financial requests. Clearly, it’s a ruse.
