SCAM ALERT - PLEASE DO NOT REPLY - Real EHIC renewals are handled through the NHSBSA and they NEVER send you a warning about your card running out.

The awful spelling and grammar in the email from [email protected] clearly shows it's a scam.

I've reported it as spam and will just delete it.

STAY ALERT, EVERYONE.

Someone rang me claiming I needed to pay £24.99 to renew my EHIC card. Felt a bit fishy to me!

Got an email from EHIC saying my card was about to expire, seemed legit at first. I filled in my details like name, address, NI number, and EHIC number. Then they asked me to make a payment over the phone, which felt off. Why would they do that???
After about 10 minutes, a call came through from 020 8050 2461 - sounded dodgy to me! Obviously, I didn’t share any credit card details with them.

Got an email asking me to call back about my EHIC card, so I gave them my name, address, date of birth, and NI number. Then they suddenly told me I needed to pay straight away. I hadn’t given any bank info though, so fingers crossed nothing dodgy happens.

Got a message sayin' my EHIC had expired but it's actually still valid. The email had a dodgy link that looked proper fishy. Stay away from clicking that, definitely a scam!
