I didn't pick up the call, but it appears this number is flagged as fraudulent on various phone lookup sites. They seem to be fishing for personal information, posing the question "Have you had an accident?" I've now added it to my auto-reject list and wiped it from my call history.

I had a feeling it might be a dodgy call, just wasn’t sure.

Loads of fraudsters! They ring me up saying they’re helping me get compensation for a recent car crash, and that I could get thousands if I just confirm some info. I asked them what info they had about my supposed claim so I could check it. Nope, they just want me to give them my details first, then they’ll confirm. They’ve been ringing me every week - blocked them now. DO NOT HAND OVER YOUR INFORMATION TO THESE LOT! To top it off, they talked down to me like I was daft.

Somebody called saying I’d been in an accident within the past three years. I said yes, then got passed over to another person who asked me when the accident happened. I told them they should already have that info since they called me. Then they just ended the call.

Super irritating personal injury solicitors, they keep ringing saying I’ve had an accident in the past 3 years (not sure how that’s possible since I don’t remember anything at all). I asked where they got their info and she said "the motor club". Told her she was making it up and reminded her my number’s on the TPS, so they shouldn’t be cold calling me. Then I just ended the call. Now they’re definitely blocked on my phone.

Like a few others mentioned, I believed it was an actual person asking about accidents initially, but it turns out it’s a robot with pauses. When will the Government or OFCOM do something about these annoying calls? Number blocked.

Pretty clear it was a spoof, they took any bits of info I gave to seem more believable. I kept them on the line for nearly 20 mins before they twigged I was having a laugh with them. Had a good time, so now I’ve blocked them.

They said they heard I’d had an accident recently and wanted to see how I was. When I said no, they switched to asking if I’d had an accident in the last three years. I said no again, then they asked if I’d been in an accident involving medical negligence, like falls that weren’t my fault. I told them I’ve never had an accident at all, but they kept going over the same questions. I figured it was best to just end the call.
