Got a missed call and when I tried ringing back, it just said the number isn’t allowed. So, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

I got a ring from someone saying they were from "Sigma Advice Company" and claimed they'd got a report about my car crash. When I asked who sent the report, they said it was from the "road traffic and accident department". Thing is, neither that department nor Sigma Advice Company actually exist. The number that showed on my phone was 0208 041 0778, which I reckon is totally dodgy.

About an hour ago, I got a call from this number on my mobile. When I attempted to call it back from my home phone, just so it wouldn't show up as their usual number, it came up saying it wasn't a recognised number. Seems a bit fishy to me - definitely avoid ringing them!

Watch out for those dodgy calls from people pretending to offer accident help but just want to scam you out of money.

At first, they just wouldn’t pick up properly, but when they did, they launched into some long spiel about injury compensation cases. They kept dodging when I asked who they actually worked for. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.
