I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, and some bloke said he was from O2. He told me my Virgin SIM card was gonna stop working in a couple of days. Funny thing is, last month I got the exact same message from a different unknown number!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from EE or O2, sounded like it was from somewhere in South East Asia. They started off asking if I’d had any issues with my SIM, then went on with a load of nonsense about some recent work on SIM tower sites. After that, they tried to get me to give them my account email. Total scam if you ask me.

They called me yesterday so I asked what it was about but had to cut off cause of a work call. Before hanging up, the woman warned my sim would be blocked in a few days and then passed me over to her “manager.” The bloke on the line claimed my number was registered with 02, which was rubbish cos I use EE Pay As You Go. That’s when I called them out on the scam. Sometimes I just let ‘em babble on till they slip up!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Three, saying I needed to update my plan. As a Three customer, I found it odd when they started asking me all these personal questions - surely if they were really from Three, they’d already have that info. Someone rang claiming to be from EE, but I was doubtful straight away. When I asked who they were, the way they answered felt odd, not like a normal business call. At first, they said “I am, who’s calling?”, which didn’t make sense, then went on to say they were from EE. The voice sounded foreign and kept calling me “ma’am” instead of using my name. There was also a lot of noise in the background, which made me more suspicious. I told them I don’t take automated calls and ended the call.

I received a rather dubious phone call today from 02080403901, with someone purporting to represent Three mobile. They were bang on about slashing my monthly bill in half and even threw in a free Apple Watch for good measure! However, when I probed for details about my current charges, the caller went oddly quiet. Naturally, I smelled a rat. When I pressed them on what information they needed from me, they asked for absolutely EVERYTHING! I firmly told her I realised this was all a con and requested that she refrain from calling me again before I ended the call rather abruptly.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from EE, saying I was eligible for a complimentary upgrade. I inquired thrice whether they were genuinely representing EE, and despite their assurances, I sensed something was amiss. Given that I’ve just recently renewed my contract, I was well aware this was a ruse. What caught my attention, though, was how they identified me as an EE customer, especially when others have reported being misled regarding O2. Quite the intriguing situation, wouldn’t you say?

Someone calling claiming to be from O2 was really pushing me to reveal my bill amount so they could give me a discount. I told them if they truly worked for O2, they’d already have that info. They kept going on about it though, pretty relentless.

Got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent claiming to be from 3 mobile. They said since I’m a loyal customer, they’d cut down my monthly charges. Asked for my email, then my home address, and said they'd send a verification code. Felt fishy so I challenged them, saying they should’ve got my info already. As soon as I did that, they just hung up. Definitely a dodgy scam.

I got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming to be from O2. She told me I was eligible for a special offer since I supposedly was an O2 customer. Funny thing is, I haven’t used O2 for like 10 years. When I pushed her on how she had my info and asked for my name, she just said she couldn’t reveal any private details. Then I mentioned my phone flagged her number as maybe a scam (which actually wasn’t true) and she just ended the call.

Got a call on my mobile from a bloke with a really thick accent claiming he was from O2. I don’t even have O2 as my network, so I just told him that and ended the call. Definitely sounded dodgy, probably one of those phishing scams.

Just got a call on 11th June from someone with a foreign accent claiming to be from O2 with a "special deal". I was pretty certain it was a scam, so I told them I wasn't interested and ended the call quickly. Didn't want to waste my time with it.

When I get a bit bored, I sometimes ask 'Where's the broccoli?' but in French or 'Where are the parsnips?' in German. They usually just end up hanging up pretty quick.

Got a call twice today from the same number. The bloke on the line had a bit of an accent, said he was calling from Three and tried to sell me some kind of £25 deal. I just hung up on him. Then he called again and I told him to bugger off. Pretty sure he wasn’t actually from Three though.

Over the past half year, I've managed to block about 45 calls, but this O2 scammer is the eighth different number I've had to block just in the last two months. Seriously, how many numbers do these lot even have? They were banging a saucepan over the phone again, so I answered and just told them "there's your answer" and hung up.

I’ve had two calls this week from people saying they’re from O2. The first was a woman with a thick Indian accent, and today a man with the same strong accent phoned me, trying to convince me they could give me a better deal on my plan. I told him straight away he was a scammer, but he just kept pushing. Quite annoying really.

They claimed to be from O2, but I wasn’t so sure. Gave me a call out of the blue and started asking loads of questions. Felt a bit off, like a dodgy sales pitch or something. Didn’t trust it at all.

I recently received a call from this number regarding an upgrade for my 3 contract. However, when I inquired about my specific contract details, they were rather vague. They seemed overly keen on prying into various personal aspects of my life, asking about my profession, marital status, and other similar information. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I had this call from someone claiming to be with 3, but turns out it was just another dodgy scam from India. It really winds me up, especially thinking about older folks who might not spot the trick and get caught out. If you get one of these calls and realise it’s a scam, just mess with them and throw your own stories back at them - I bet it drives them nuts!

Got a call from 02080403901, some Indian lady claiming she’s from Three Mobile. She kept asking about my bill and wanted me to confirm my payment info. I told her, if she’s really from Three, she’d already know what I pay. I said if she’s trying to lower my bill then just credit my account instead of bothering me. Then she just ended the call, no warning or anything 😂 Honestly, just ignore and definitely block that number.

Totally a con artist, no doubt about it. Got a call from a woman with a pretty strong Indian accent, trying to sell me an iPhone 15 Pro Max for £45 a month on a two-year deal. It actually sounded more convincing than other scams I’ve come across before. She asked for my address, though. I gave her a fake one and she lost her temper big time, telling me to quit wasting her time 😂. Honestly, you couldn’t script this stuff. Keep your eyes peeled, folks!

Received a call from a rather heavily accented chap, rambling on about some savings related to an auto car agreement. It came across as rather dodgy, so I promptly called him out on it and told him to jog on.
