Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, but it was definitely a scam. Best thing to do is hang up straight away and block the number so it doesn’t ring again.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with O2, which made me chuckle as I’m actually with Vodafone! I could tell it was a dodgy call from the get-go, so I thought I’d have a little fun with him instead. I introduced myself as Mike Rotchburns - clever, right? When he asked for a verification code, I replied, “Well, if you’re truly from O2, you must have my number already!” I told him he was just wasting my time. His response? Silence! The line went dead. Absolutely hilarious!

I received a rather dubious call claiming I was eligible for a whopping 40% off, plus a complimentary IWatch for being a loyal customer. The chap on the line was extremely convincing and didn't let up. He introduced himself as Michael Sean, though he mentioned he was hailing from Sri Lanka. I'm certain this is a scam call - be sure to notify O2 about it!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with 02 saying I could get 30% off if I paid with direct debit. I told them no and ended the call, but I don’t even use direct debit anyway. Afterwards, I noticed a text about a one time code being requested. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from someone saying he was with Urdu Network and he was trying to sell me a fantastic mobile contract. His accent was really thick, sounded Indian, and I could hardly catch what he was saying at first. I told him I didn't know that company at all and that I wasn’t interested. After seeing what others have said here, I’m sure it was a scam. Best to avoid these calls completely!

I ended up picking up after it kept buzzing my phone every single hour, like non stop! The bloke said since I was with 02, he could slash my bills by half. I told him I wasn't with 02 at all, and he lost it, shouting and wanting a proper argument. I told him to just erase my info, and then he went off calling me a liar!

Got a call from this number saying they were with 02 and could give me a discount on my phone bill. They sent me a link with some code but I didn’t trust it and refused to click. As soon as I said no, they just ended the call. I’d say watch out for this one - just hang up and block straight away!

I received a phone call from some dodgy characters masquerading as o2 representatives, querying my monthly payment. If they were the real deal, they'd surely be aware that I renewed my contract ages ago! I unleashed a few unkind words and firmly told them to bugger off and peddle their nonsense elsewhere. Absolute rip-off originating from India! Just tell these people to shove off, no exceptions. They're ringing up folks indiscriminately, claiming to offer a 30% discount regardless of whether you’ve ever been an O2 customer. I’m with Vodafone myself and have never been associated with O2, so it’s quite infuriating!

I received a call on my mobile, but couldn't pick it up in time. The caller didn't bother to leave a message, which I found a bit suspicious. So, I attempted to ring back at 02080402843. The phone rang for a split second before it cut off - very odd indeed. I’m absolutely convinced this is some sort of scam. I must say, this website is brilliant! It’s incredibly useful to see the experiences shared by others. Fingers crossed these fraudsters are apprehended before they manage to deceive someone unsuspecting, simply because they aren't aware.

I picked up the phone as I've got relatives living in London, and the bloke on the other end said he was from O2, trying to entice me with a so-called 30% discount on my upcoming bill. I let him ramble on for a bit, then he had the audacity to ask how much I paid the previous month! I shot back with, "If you're really from O2, you ought to know that already..." and told him to bugger off. At that point, he just cut the line! I've now blocked the number.

The phone call I received was rather concerning, as the person on the other end struggled with their English, making it quite difficult to follow the conversation. It all felt a bit odd and certainly set off a few alarms in my mind, as most callers tend to communicate clearly. The individual claimed to be representing Vodafone and insisted that, due to my excellent credit, I was entitled to some sort of discount. I mentioned that I was a bit preoccupied and that I would look into Vodafone's website later when I had a moment to spare. However, her frantic insistence, along with her repeatedly addressing me as "madam," put me on high alert and made it clear that something was off. I firmly stated that I wasn't interested in discussing any deals over the phone, hung up, and promptly blocked the number.

What a bunch of leeches! I genuinely pity the honest businesses out there, as I, for one, refuse to pick up my phone for unrecognised numbers. The inconvenient truth is, I can trace the source of these calls, yet it seems like no one’s doing a thing about it. It must be costing companies a fortune every single week.
