Phone number ☎️ 02080402843 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation impersonating O2, offering fake discounts and prizes such as airtime reductions or iPhones. Callers use high-pressure tactics and ask for one-time verification codes, which genuine O2 representatives never request. Many recipients are not O2 customers, confirming this as unsolicited fraud. Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, but it was definitely a scam. Best thing to do is hang up straight away and block the number so it doesn’t ring again.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be with O2, which was odd since I’m actually with Vodafone. I instantly smelled a scam, so thought I’d mess with him a bit. Told him my name was Mike Rotchburns, just for a laugh. Then he asked for a code that’d supposedly be sent to my phone. I said, “If you’re really from O2, you’d already have my number, wouldn’t you?” Called him out right there. The line went dead straight away. What a waste of their time, haha!

Some bloke called me, saying he was Michael Sean from Sri Lanka, offering a 40% discount plus a free iWatch for loyal customers. He was really pushy and kept going on about it. I’m sure it’s a scam, so I’ve reported it to O2. Watch out for these dodgy calls!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with 02 saying I could get 30% off if I paid with direct debit. I told them no and ended the call, but I don’t even use direct debit anyway. Afterwards, I noticed a text about a one time code being requested. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from someone saying he was with Urdu Network and he was trying to sell me a fantastic mobile contract. His accent was really thick, sounded Indian, and I could hardly catch what he was saying at first. I told him I didn't know that company at all and that I wasn’t interested. After seeing what others have said here, I’m sure it was a scam. Best to avoid these calls completely!

I ended up picking up after it kept buzzing my phone every single hour, like non stop! The bloke said since I was with 02, he could slash my bills by half. I told him I wasn't with 02 at all, and he lost it, shouting and wanting a proper argument. I told him to just erase my info, and then he went off calling me a liar!

Got a call from this number saying they were with 02 and could give me a discount on my phone bill. They sent me a link with some code but I didn’t trust it and refused to click. As soon as I said no, they just ended the call. I’d say watch out for this one - just hang up and block straight away!

Got a dodgy call from some lot claiming they were from o2, asking about my monthly payments and trying to see if I’d renewed my contract already. I told them if they were legit, they’d bloody know I sorted that ages ago. Gave them a mouthful and told them to jog on and try their rubbish on someone else. These calls are a proper scam from India, honestly. They keep ringing even if you're with Vodafone or any other network, trying to sell you a 30% discount like you're an O2 customer. I’ve never even had an O2 account and they still bother me - just tell them to shove off, no matter what!

The lady on the phone spoke really poor English, making it quite hard to follow, which immediately made me suspicious since most callers are clearer. She claimed to be from Vodafone and said because I have a good credit rating, they could give me a discount. I told her I was tied up right then and would check Vodafone’s official site later. Her panicked reaction, constantly calling me “Mame” and pushing me to sort things out over the phone, made me realise it was likely a scam. I firmly told her I wouldn’t make any agreements on the phone, ended the call, and then blocked the number.

I swear these telemarketers are everywhere, it’s like they’re parasites. I actually feel bad for the honest companies because I just ignore any call from a number I don’t know. The annoying thing is, I can tell exactly where these spam calls are ringing from, but no one seems to be able to put an end to it. I bet businesses lose tons of money every week because of this.

I got a text from O2 saying something about a 40% discount on my bill. Then, this message popped up: *SECURITY ALERT* The one-off code you asked for will come soon. If someone rings you asking for it, hang up - they’re not from O2. If you think it’s dodgy, ring 202 to keep your account safe. *Stay safe from scams* Don’t ever share this code, not even with O2 staff. To log into your My O2 account, use code 842890. I told them to call back in about 30 minutes so I could actually be ready to deal with them properly and give them a piece of my mind.
