I got tricked into booking a flight through what I thought was Dial a Flight, but I hadn’t actually called them. They charged me a deposit and sent a receipt with Star Alliance on it - though there were no flight details at all. When I asked to cancel because I started to feel dodgy about it, they agreed but then tried to charge me twice more. I’ve now reported the whole thing to my bank. Oddly, the numbers they used, 02080386139 and +44 2046211147, no longer show up under Dial a Flight. One of the callers introduced himself as Samuel.

I'm a single mum struggling to get by, and these scammers pretending to be from Star Alliance swindled £628.38 out of me. It's just heartbreaking and has really knocked me sideways. Totally disgusting.
