Got a call from an Indian bloke called 'Michael' trying to get me to do a survey, no sales pitch though! I said I wasn’t bothered and he went on saying if I didn’t take part they’d keep ringing. Funny enough, about 4 years back I had the same thing from a fake UK number, I actually answered then but of course the calls never ended. Probably either trying to gather more info or passing it on somewhere else. Best steer clear. Reckon some site must’ve handed my details over! Technology these days, eh!

Been getting calls from a woman who oddly enough knows my name and where I live. She’s rang a couple times already, really frustrating.

Just found out this number rang us two times on the same day about a month ago. The caller had a South Asian accent and was asking personal info. When I asked who he was, he said his name was Michael, which seemed a bit made up to me, so I got pretty wary. I told him I wasn’t comfortable sharing anything. At least this time the caller was quite polite. (Still marked it as harassing though, cos they’ve tried calling this number twice in six weeks and we’re on the TPS list.)

Got a call from a woman named Serena from a firm called Connecting Customers - but I couldn’t find any info about that company anywhere. She said I wouldn’t get any more calls about a quick survey covering stuff like landlines, broadband, cars, car insurance and personal finance. I didn’t give her any answers anyway. Waiting to see if they ring back!

They rang me just as I was about to eat, like most of these pointless calls do, and some bloke with an Asian accent just kept going on and on. We couldn’t get a word in at all. Eventually I had to be firm and tell him we’re ex-directory and on the TPS, but he didn’t care and carried on anyway. Had to tell him to piss off pretty sharply and not to bother us again. Honestly, why do these muppets even bother? And if they’re gonna call, could they at least send someone who speaks proper clear English? These lot really need to be found and dealt with once and for all.

Got another ring from this number (check my previous comment). A friendly Asian woman asked for Mr XX and if I was alright. I said I was okay but "I`m not THE Mr XX". She then just cut the call. Not as nice as she seemed at first.

A few days back, and then again this morning, I got calls from a lady whose accent was near impossible to make out. She mentioned something about "connecting people" - at least that’s what I think she said. She asked for Mrs. and said my full name and address, but I didn’t respond. I kept telling her I couldn’t understand what she was saying, and then she just ended the call. These types of calls need to be cracked down on, they’re really annoying, and the call blocking service I use doesn’t seem to do much to stop them.

Last week I got a call from a private number. A lady with an Asian accent introduced herself as Eve from BT’s tech support. She claimed that whenever my computer was on, neighbours could see everything I did online. I told her we don't use BT, and she suddenly asked if I was f****ng stupid! I was taken aback and replied “What?” Then she went on to call me an f***ing b**** and asked if I was stupid again. I just ended the call there. Today, the same number rang me around 3.50 pm, and it was that same woman. She greeted me with a "Good afternoon," and I immediately said "Goodbye" and hung up. Quite a weird experience.

Got a call from someone called "Thomas" this arvo, sounded Indian. My missus picked up and he seemed to know quite a bit about her already, like her first name and where she lives. He claimed to be from some "Connection Customers" company. Then he started asking her stuff like her age, and when she didn't want to give a number, he asked for a range instead. I jumped in and asked him where this firm was located and he just said he was "calling through the internet". Smelled like a phishing attempt, so I just hung up.
