Got a call from an Indian bloke called 'Michael' trying to get me to do a survey, no sales pitch though! I said I wasn’t bothered and he went on saying if I didn’t take part they’d keep ringing. Funny enough, about 4 years back I had the same thing from a fake UK number, I actually answered then but of course the calls never ended. Probably either trying to gather more info or passing it on somewhere else. Best steer clear. Reckon some site must’ve handed my details over! Technology these days, eh!

Just found out this number rang us two times on the same day about a month ago. The caller had a South Asian accent and was asking personal info. When I asked who he was, he said his name was Michael, which seemed a bit made up to me, so I got pretty wary. I told him I wasn’t comfortable sharing anything. At least this time the caller was quite polite. (Still marked it as harassing though, cos they’ve tried calling this number twice in six weeks and we’re on the TPS list.)

Got a call from a woman named Serena from a firm called Connecting Customers - but I couldn’t find any info about that company anywhere. She said I wouldn’t get any more calls about a quick survey covering stuff like landlines, broadband, cars, car insurance and personal finance. I didn’t give her any answers anyway. Waiting to see if they ring back!

Eventually I had to be firm and tell him we’re ex-directory and on the TPS, but he didn’t care and carried on anyway. Had to tell him to piss off pretty sharply and not to bother us again. Honestly, why do these muppets even bother? And if they’re gonna call, could they at least send someone who speaks proper clear English? These lot really need to be found and dealt with once and for all.

Got another ring from this number (check my previous comment). A friendly Asian woman asked for Mr XX and if I was alright. I said I was okay but "I`m not THE Mr XX". She then just cut the call. Not as nice as she seemed at first.

I received a couple of calls over the past week, one of which came in today. The female caller had such a thick accent that I could barely make out what she was saying. However, I eventually gathered that she was with an outfit she referred to as "connecting people." She asked if I was Mrs. and then mentioned my name and address, to which I responded with silence. I attempted to explain that I couldn’t grasp what she was saying, but after a few frustrating attempts, she hung up. Honestly, these nuisance calls need to be put to an end; they are incredibly bothersome, and the call-blocking services currently available are frightfully insufficient for dealing with them.

Last week, I received a phone call from a number that was withheld. An Asian-accented woman introduced herself as Eve, claiming to be from BT’s technical support. She asserted that whenever my computer was on, others nearby could reportedly see my online activities. When I mentioned that we didn’t even use BT services, her response was quite shocking; she practically called me an imbecile! I couldn't believe my ears, and when I asked her to repeat herself, she had the audacity to call me names! I decided it was best to slam the phone down after that. Today, I got another call from the same number, and guess what? It was her again! She greeted me with a pleasant 'good afternoon', but I wasted no time in saying goodbye and swiftly ending the conversation. Both times, the calls came through at approximately 3:50 pm.

Got a call earlier from a woman who said her name was Lisa (seemed a bit dodgy with that accent) and said she was doing some sort of lifestyle survey. Got a call from someone called "Thomas" this arvo, sounded Indian. My missus picked up and he seemed to know quite a bit about her already, like her first name and where she lives. He claimed to be from some "Connection Customers" company. Then he started asking her stuff like her age, and when she didn't want to give a number, he asked for a range instead. I jumped in and asked him where this firm was located and he just said he was "calling through the internet". Smelled like a phishing attempt, so I just hung up.

Hard to follow what he was saying, something about a survey. Told him the info he had was completely off. Why doesn’t the government or phone companies do something to put a stop to this? We know how these scams work but loads of people, especially older ones, fall for it. They really ought to be stopped.

They asked for Mr Jones after a weird silent gap. I could tell straight away it was one of those scam calls. Hung up quick. No one by that name lives here!

I received a rather peculiar call - there was nothing but silence, and then the voice just said “Goodbye” before the line went dead. Quite odd, really!

Got a call asking for my debit card info, said he could block annoying calls from my phone provider account. I hung up straight away. He rang back about an hour later but I just let it ring out.

A bloke rang saying his name was David, I asked what he wanted and told him I didn’t ask for the call, he just hung up straight away. I’ve blocked the number now.
