What a right kerfuffle! It seems we've been inundated with callers asking for a Mrs. Cook for yonks now. Despite us pointing out repeatedly that she's not gracing this number with her presence and hasn't for over two decades-if she ever did!-the calls keep coming. We've been at this number for almost a decade ourselves, and the prior tenants had a completely different number. Clearly, whoever's behind this has a contact list that's older than the hills! My husband once had a bit of a laugh and pretended to be all sorrowful, claiming that Mrs. Cook had kicked the bucket. Even that didn’t put a stop to the incessant ringing! Just a heads up, if you get scam calls, make sure you report them to the ICO. Posting about it here won't faze the scammers, but the ICO actually take action and it only takes a couple of minutes on their website. Don’t bother your phone provider though, they’re mostly happy to sell you caller ID services and make more money from blocking calls!
