I received a phone call from someone claiming to be with "The BT," stating that they had urgent news about a breach in our internet security. I responded with a rather sceptical “oh really?” and she promptly inquired whether we had a laptop or computer on-site, which is a bit odd since we’re a business. When I pressed her on what exactly she wanted, she claimed she was there to assist us in securing our data. I couldn't help but chuckle at this, and she rather huffily replied, “If you’re not interested, you can just hang up!” I waved her off with a simple “Bye” and terminated the call. This was the second time today I had received such dubious calls from Asian-accented call centres using 0208 numbers with the same suspicious pitch. Not in a million years would I fall for that.
