Got a call from a bloke with a strong South Asian accent, asking me about the appliances I own, like my TV, fridge, washing machine and microwave off the top of his head. He then asked for my full name and address, saying they’d send some paperwork over. It just didn’t sit right, especially because the company seemed to be a cloud-based telecoms provider, which I’ve heard plenty of scam ops use VoIP lines. Felt pretty dodgy to me.
