I got a call where a robot-like voice said ‘hi’, then stopped like it was waiting for me to say something. Then it said something like ‘This is Tm calling from...’ but I couldn’t catch the company name. I ended the call right away because it sounded like one of those recorded messages pretending to talk like a person, so it didn’t feel legit at all.

My son's been getting calls from this number loads lately. When he picked up, they asked if I’d been in a car crash. I explained it’s my kid’s phone, he’s only 13, so obviously no driving. Told them it’s registered with TPS and to stop calling. Now they ring and stay silent. When I tried ringing back, it just said invalid number. Seems they’re either office lines doing outbound calls or scammers using number spoofing, often from overseas. Just a heads up, best thing to do is block it straight away.
