Got a recorded message saying they're taking legal steps over tax fraud. Didn't mention who was calling or any details, just a vague threat. Feels pretty official, could easily scare some folks.

Got a call today from 0208 926 4619 about renewing the warranty on my washing machine. My machine is like 15 years old, so I found it quite funny. The lady said she was from Hubub Group UK, which I'd never heard of. I told her I don't even have a warranty, then she just ended the call. It's horrible how people try to take advantage, especially with everything going on nowadays!

I got a call from this number today at 11:30 but didn’t pick up since I was at school. They’ve rung me a few times before but I never pick up when it’s someone I don’t know.

Someone called saying they were Louise Walters, from a company that sounded like Altus Advice Co or something similar, but I couldn’t really make out the name properly. When I asked for more info, they just hung up on me. They tried to trick me into admitting I’d been in an accident that wasn’t my fault - total scam. How come these types aren’t properly dealt with? It’s ridiculous.

Got a scam call about an accident, female voice sounded real, not a robot. Best thing is to sign up with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), then mark the number as a nuisance call. They’ll look into it and can hit them with big fines or even take legal action. Check out Rachael Tooher-Rudd (Cold Call Queen), she and her hubby got fined thousands for it.

Classic "you've had an accident" trick again. Honestly, why don’t the cops go after these fraudsters? They want you to ring their expensive lines and rip you off that way. Seems like a proper scam to me, clear as day.

Got a call from some scammers pretending to be about car crash insurance or something like that.

Got a call saying something like "we heard you were in an accident" and it was probably a recorded message trying to get me to sign up for a credit card or loan online. Never ever say yes or no on these calls. When you say it on the app, your voice is used as your agreement and good luck trying to fight it later.

This number keeps ringing my son's mobile and when he picks up, there’s nothing but silence. We tried calling it back from a different phone but it just says the number is invalid. From what i've found, there’s a couple of reasons this happens - either it’s an office line that only makes outbound calls, or it could be scammers overseas using some kind of number spoofing to make it appear like they’re calling locally. Offshore telesales and fraudsters often do this sort of thing.
