I got a call from 020 8001 2887, and a bloke on the line said he was ringing from EE. He spoke with a thick American accent, which was odd. I told him I was tied up at the moment, but he kept pestering me to carry on the chat. When I said I didn’t buy that he was really from EE, he got all worked up in a very over-the-top way, which didn’t come across as professional at all. The way he spoke felt quite rude, and putting two and two together, I’m pretty convinced it was a scam call since I wasn’t expecting anything from EE.
