This number rang me but nobody said a word. Then, I got a text straight away telling me to ring the Capital One fraud team. I looked up the fraud department’s number online and it was the same 0800 number from the text. I gave it a ring and actually spoke to someone from Capital One’s fraud team. Turns out the call really was from Capital One.
