10 yearsI recently received a phone call from someone asserting that I'd signed up for their service a year ago, supposedly granting me a year of reduced nuisance calls. This chap went on to proclaim he could completely eliminate nuisance calls for good. It seemed he was blissfully unaware of the irony in him being a nuisance caller himself. When he provocatively requested my bank details, I declined. He then ominously informed me that his "Head Office" would be in touch to pursue the money I apparently owed, yet he couldn’t provide any documentation to prove I’d ever enrolled in their service. They claimed that as of today, all such calls would cease completely after we made our so-called 'final' payment. It's blatantly a scam, especially since we haven't forked out any cash thus far - and we certainly have no intention of doing so. Frankly, the amount of calls we've been getting remains unchanged.
