I received a call that was supposedly from Microsoft, claiming there was some hacking activity on my computer. The chap on the other end was quite insistent, and his accent suggested he was Indian. He warned that my computer would be locked if I didn’t follow his instructions. When I inquired about his location, he mentioned Reading, though he pronounced it as "Reeding"! I asked for his contact number, and he provided 1183283295-how convenient, right? I ended the call but he rang back just moments later, and I hung up again. Within the span of an hour, he attempted to reach me four more times, each time using a different number, with only the last two digits changing. It’s high time action was taken regarding this sort of scam!

Received a call from a number I don’t recognise on my mobile. It’s not anyone I’m familiar with, so I’m inclined to think it might be a cold call, possibly from TalkTalk or another similar outfit.
