Received a rather dubious call today, with someone asserting that I’d been in a motor accident. Naturally, I informed them that I hadn’t had any dealings with a vehicle, then they simply ended the call without another word! Being in the telephone industry myself, it's infuriating dealing with these nimwits who peddle falsehoods and make my actual work all the more troublesome. Quite frankly, I believe it might even be illegal to make such calls on bank holidays or Sundays.
