Im a bit freaked out coz they rang me about a car crash and its true we did have one so I thought they were legit. They even sent me a letter by email to sign, saying I allowed them to call me. But then I had some doubts so I looked their number up and ended here, now im proper worried. I haven’t given any bank info yet but since I signed that consent letter, should I be stressing? Or is it alright to just block the number?

Does anyone else find it funny that a clear scam caller claims to be from a company called Desk-Con? Pretty sure it’s a robocall since it only uses a few fixed phrases and can only answer yes or no - if you say something unexpected, they just repeat the same lines over and over. Bit of a pain really. I was a bit annoyed when they wouldn’t spell out the company name or who they were. They’ve rung me loads of times, always saying sorry and promising to remove me from their calls list - but guess what? They never do.

I got a call from someone claiming they’d heard I’d been in a car crash and then said it was a sales call. When I asked “what car accident?”, the woman just cut the call off!

Got a call out the blue from some nasty lot claiming to be from Descon Salvation Executive, said they were in Gloucester Street, London. They tried to say their records showed I’d been in a car crash. Played along for a bit before telling them I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, then they just cut me off straight away. Definitely going to report these scammers.

I got a ring during a really important call that could change everything for me. Saw the number wasn’t familiar, so I looked it up online. After seeing what it might be, here I am now. I’ve blocked it just like about 50 others this past year.

I received a call from someone claiming to be inquiring about a car accident I supposedly had a hand in, which is rather odd since I haven't had any such incident. When I probed them about how they acquired my number, they simply cut the line. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

They claimed I was involved in a no fault accident within the past three years - something about Hamilton. The number [#]fakenumber[###] isn’t legit, I’ve already blocked it on my phone. They’ve rung me a few times, it’s some sort of automated message that seems to interact but as soon as you ask for specifics, they just cut the call.

If it was someone I knew, they’d have left a voicemail, same with any legit call. After that, I looked it up on this who-called[###][###] site and turns out it’s just a spam number. So I’ve blocked it now. Hope they get what’s coming to them and have a really miserable life!
