Today, I received a call from the number 0207 946 1876, and it's not the first time either, as I've had previous bothering calls from 0207 946 1745. It appears these are all linked to the same dodgy operation like 0207 946 0643. I picked up the phone to a lady inquiring whether I’d been involved in an accident over the past five years that wasn’t my doing. With not much else on my plate while anticipating the rather late kick-off of the FA Cup Final, I cheekily replied that I had - “How on earth did you guess?” Then, she transferred me to a chap with a thick Asian accent (which made it rather tricky to decipher his words) who dug deeper, asking for specifics like the date, location, and how it all unfolded, along with any injuries I might have sustained. I barely got into my tale regarding the whiplash incident when the doorbell chimed, compelling me to cut the conversation short. In the end, it turned out to be a typical cold call, rather like an “ambulance chaser” scheme. At least I managed to waste a spot of their resources while having a bit of a laugh!

Our phone has been getting calls from these annoying people over and over, and we never pick up unless it’s someone familiar. Honestly, they’re such a headache and even registering with TPS hasn’t really stopped them.

I've come across plenty of chatter suggesting that numbers starting with 0207 946 are simply out to fleece unsuspecting folks. One has to wonder, where’s BT in all this, especially given their resources and the revenue they rake in?

Received a call from this number at 10:26 am today. As soon as I spotted it, I assumed it was yet another PPI nuisance. However, when I picked up, the lady on the line mentioned she was from GAP. I didn't bother to continue the conversation and just ended the call right away.

Had a nuisance call at 4:15 PM on the 5th of April 2016. The caller attempted to reach me twice but then just dropped the line. I tried to call them back, but all I got was a ringing tone that led nowhere. Clearly, it's one of those dodgy scam callers. Very unpleasant experience!

Caught this dodgy outfit trying to pull a fast one! As someone who's registered with the TPS and has a background in the call centre industry, I can tell you these chaps are definitely flouting MOJ guidelines. What's more, they've got this "phony" number that you can't ring back, leaving you completely in the dark about who they actually are! Quite frustrating, really!

Got a call on my landline earlier from someone who said they were calling internationally, claiming I’d been in an accident. When I said I didn’t know them, they just hung up.
