They kept quizzing me about my knowledge of the financial market. Every time I asked what the call was regarding, they just dodged and kept probing about my role in the market. When I told them I’ve never dealt with stocks or any financial stuff, they pushed harder and wanted to know what I do for a living. I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing that because of all the scams out there, but they brushed it off and kept pushing. In the end, I didn’t give them any info and just kept asking what the call was about. It turned into a loop until they finally gave up and hung up.

Mentioned HMR and they just cut me off right away. Blocked the number straight away. HMR wouldn’t behave like that. If you’re unsure, just hang up. If it's really urgent, they’ll leave a message or get in touch somehow. Don’t get caught up or too curious. Hanging up and blocking sorts it out every time.

He claimed he was calling from Microsoft Campus in Reading and that I had a Microsoft account. He said it's their job to warn people if their computers are at risk. He tried to scare me, even accusing me of being a criminal and threatening to lock my PC in 15 minutes unless I paid £5,000 to unlock it! I was a bit shaken but told him to jog on.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was blocked because it showed I was using it for illegal gambling and adult sites. They said I had to turn it on so they could sort it out for me. I told them it was all good, no need to fix anything since my sponsor at gamblers anon said that site was fine - then they just hung up.

Got a call on my phone from Kerry A Anctil, 777 Church Hill Rd, Leeds, ME, 04263 - it popped up exactly like that on my Android. Looks like a US address, and when I checked LinkedIn, I found someone with the same name and the address matched where they said they worked, which was a bit odd. I ended up blocking the number. The call came from a UK number: 0207 946 2095.

Oi, this number has rung me a gazillion times. Last time I picked up, I asked which accident they meant? Was it when I crashed into a tree while pissed and ended the poor squirrel’s life? Or the time I barreled through a wall and ended up inside the police station? Figured that might clue ’em in. And honestly, if I’d really smashed into a cop station, I doubt I’d be chatting on the phone, you muppet! These jokers are a laugh though.

Got loads of spam calls pretending to be about car crashes. They keep ringing from loads of different 0207 946 numbers, just changing the last few digits. If you're using an Android phone, try this to block them: Get the CallControl app, go to 'Blocked List', tap the top right icon with 3 little squares, pick 'Add to Block List', select 'Wildcard', then enter +44 (207) 946-# with the correct spacing. This should stop all calls starting with 0207 946. Hopefully this tip works for you. Take care!

Just got a call from 0207 946 2016 on my phone. Looked it up online and apparently any number starting with 0207 946 might be a scam. Saw someone else here got a call from this exact number too. I usually dont pick up unknown numbers, so dodged a bullet. Be careful if they ring you from 0207 946 2016.

Absolute nightmare, this has been happening for over a year. The calls always begin with 020 7 946 followed by different last 4 numbers each time. I keep blocking them but they just switch up the last digits and keep ringing. They even called me on a Friday evening after a really hard week at my new job. How is this even allowed? Plus, I don’t even hold a driving licence!

This is exactly what happened to me too. Got a call about some accident I supposedly had. Honestly, why even bother? Anyone who can pick up the phone should be able to tell it’s a scam straight away. Blocked without a second thought.

These muppets rang me up out of the blue. I decided to humour them about their accident claim. Told her as I pulled out from a side road, I came face to face with a Coca Cola truck, driven by Ronald McDonald himself. She still didn’t seem to catch on. After going back and forth about dates and times for a good ten minutes, I finally said my car wasn’t damaged because I don’t even drive. What I really need compensation for is my stained underpants. Asked for their address to send them in for inspection and then she just hung up. Weird.

This company has rung me about 9 times over the last few months, sometimes even twice on the same day, each time from a different extension. What really gets me is that despite trying to block these numbers, there's no proper way to file a complaint. Ofcom seems totally uninterested in dealing with it.

Honestly, I’ve been getting calls from this woman on and off for nearly a year and a half. Today, I thought I’d have a bit of fun and pretend I’d been in a car crash. I gave her all the made-up info, and after about 25 minutes she was telling me I could expect a nice payout. Obviously, no accident ever happened - I was just messing around with her. Hope she’s got plenty to do chasing my bogus claim now. What a daft woman.

I told her that wasn’t true and asked her to take my details off their list, then she just cut me off straight away. Total SCAM. Blocked the number!

Just got a call and it woke me up on one of the few days I can actually sleep in! It was 9:32 on a bank holiday Monday. They said I’d been in an accident. Can’t believe someone would ring that early on a bank holiday. The lady was really rude and then just hung up on me.

Why doesn't anyone just block the entire batch of numbers? I've mentioned before that you can block all 0209746xxxx on certain phones or with some apps, but folks still talk about blocking each number one by one. Have you tried blocking the whole lot at once? My Galaxy A3 does it fine. Also, the Truecaller app works, and I've heard Mr Number does too. What phones or apps have you tried and had luck with or not?

I answered once ages ago, some woman mentioned I’d been in a car crash or something? It got cut off really fast. I blocked that 0207 946 number and never picked up again. But still, every week they call from a different last four digits, so I just block the new ones as they come through. It’s so annoying they got hold of my number considering I haven’t given it to any company.

I'm constantly getting calls from 020 7946 xxxx. I block their number, yet they seem to call again from a number that's just a little bit different, talking about some accident I never had. It's really annoying, especially since I'm disabled and it's hard for me to get to the phone quickly.

You can actually block any number that begins with 020 7946 by getting an app for it. If you’re not sure how to do it, just ask someone for help.

If your phone allows, you might be able to block all calls from 020 7946 numbers by tweaking the settings, or you could get an app that does it for you.

This Lauren Jones keeps ringing me, I think it’s about a crash I never got involved in. I keep blocking her number but she just phones from a different one. I’m gonna follow the tip from the person who commented on 13 May and just ignore any calls from 0207 946 ####. I’m on the TPS list but these firms literally couldn’t care less.

020 7946 1813 Got this woman on the phone and asked her what she tells mates about her job. She just says she’s an office drone. No surprise there really. I told her, “so you just go around fibbing to everyone then?” She pretty much admitted it. What a way to live, making a career out of lying. If any of my friends were hassling folks for a living, I’d give them a right good telling off every day. Proper sad people.

Last week I just let this number ring out cause my phone said it was from London. But when it called again today, I picked up. The lady said she was told I’d been in a car crash. I haven’t, so I cut the call and blocked the number straight away.

Natasha? She said she’s some kind of claim specialist or whatever. Thing is, she clearly knows nothing about the accident I never had! Weird call.

I've got calls from numbers beginning with 0207 946, like 0207 946 1691, where a person called Natasha claims to be contacting me about an accident that never happened. I think they might be using a program that switches the final four numbers so you can't block them easily. If you get a call from any 0207 946 XXXX number, I’d honestly just hang up without picking up. It’s probably not worth the bother.

Somebody rang me from 7946 1741 but when I tried to ring them back, the number just didnt connect. I told the person on the phone I'd been in a crash and that I'd ring later. Then they gave me their actual number, which is 0203 519 0285. I called that one and asked if they had been in a road accident that wasnt their fault. They sounded pretty annoyed and said its just their job and asked why I was calling them. It was quite funny really.

Oh, it’s so annoying how they just cut the call so abruptly, honestly drives me mad. If anyone could find a number for me to ring them back on, I’d really appreciate it. I’m planning to bug them nonstop, and if I ever have a boy, he’ll grow up doing the same. Looks like this is gonna be my routine forever now.

Today on 2/5/2016 I got a call from 0207 946 1601, my daughter was phoned by 0207 946 1591, and my wife also received a ring from 0207 946 1593. Each time, the caller said they were Natasha but just ended up hanging up. Seems like a proper scam to me. Does anyone know how we can alert the proper authorities? They seem to be getting away with this without any trouble.

Honestly, it’s not a real human on the other end at all, just some automated voice crap that’s trying to figure out what you say, then fires back a “sensible” question. I started asking silly stuff like “how’s the weather over there” and it totally threw it off balance ;-)

0207 946 1552 Got a call from some woman pestering me about a car crash. I told her that even if I’d been in an accident, I already have insurance and a lawyer, so there’s no reason for me to take advice from someone who just rings out of the blue offering help. She just ended the call. Honestly, who would trust a random cold caller with something like that?

I picked up the call from 0207 946 1514 and at first I heard a phone ringing sound on the line. Then a woman’s voice came on, asking about an accident I apparently had that wasn’t my fault. The way she spoke was odd, with strange gaps after I answered her questions. When I insisted she give me more details about this alleged accident, she just ended the call.

Just like everyone else, I simply ended the call as soon as I said I hadn’t been in any accident. They might say something like “oh, sorry to bother you,” but honestly, the best move is just to hang up straight away. It’s ridiculous to keep listening any longer!

This woman keeps ringing me over and over again. I've asked her plenty of times to take my number off their list but she just doesn’t listen.
