Just got this letter today (15/06/16) from what seems like a proper firm that recently sorted out a property sale. It says I owe £144 and should transfer it to their bank account. I rang the number but got a weird foreign dial tone and then a recorded message from an Indian woman. Didn’t leave a message and contacted the estate agent straight away. They’re checking it out and reckon it’s a scam because they never use call centres abroad. The letter had all the right info apart from that, so looks like someone's grabbed their details from somewhere dodgy.
