some bloke called me saying he’d had an accident and was trying to raise funds for surgery or something, sounded dodgy right away so I just hung up. can’t believe people actually try to scam by asking for money over the phone, who falls for that?

So today I got a call from this number, but all I heard was a single beep... I suspect it’s a scam because I’ve received similar strange beeping calls from places like Nigeria and Ethiopia before. From what I’ve gathered, these might be some sort of landlines with crazy high fees, and if you ring them back, you get charged a lot! I reckon these lines have been hacked and the calls are made by automated machines. Just a heads up, don’t return calls to unfamiliar numbers like this. Cheers, I’m Mihai from Transylvania, Romania.
