Got a message from Samsung and Curve about activating a card I never ordered. Pretty weird, not sure if it’s some kind of scam or a mix-up. Has anyone else got similar notifications?

The phone number for Starling Bank is 0207 930 4450. I got a call from 0207 939 4450, which is just one digit off - a 9 instead of a 0. They said the 9 was an extension, but extensions are just internal stuff, not part of the main number. It's best to save your bank’s real number in your contacts to know when it’s them calling. Banks don’t usually ring you first. So, if you get a call from someone claiming to be your bank, hang up and ring your bank yourself to check and report anything suspicious.

I had a rather alarming experience when an odd transaction popped up on my Starling account. I promptly declined it, and to my surprise, I received a phone call from this number just moments later. I ignored the first couple of calls, but they kept trying to reach me. The caller sounded quite authentic, even having some details from my account, and they sent a text posing as Starling. However, I sensed that something wasn’t quite right, so I quickly locked my card and got in touch with Starling. They assured me that they hadn’t tried to contact me at all, confirming it was a scam call. Please stay vigilant and if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, hang up and notify Starling right away!

I had a rather bizarre phone call earlier, where the individual seemed to have my address and started inquiring about some suspicious transactions linked to my account. Then, they had the audacity to ask if I dabble in cryptocurrencies or NFTs! Can you believe it? They even brought up my Revolut account, claiming it was somehow connected to Starling Bank as if they were family businesses or something! Honestly, what a sad existence. Just ponder for a second - someone goes through almost a year of pregnancy just to raise a child who ends up conning people over the internet. Talk about irony!

My partner received a call from “Starling” bank the other day, and they came across as incredibly convincing. Unfortunately, they ended up draining his account completely. What’s particularly perplexing is that the phone number matched the one listed on their official site! It seems some crafty individuals have managed to hijack the number. When the scammers withdrew the funds, the transaction was linked to something labelled as “cryptocurrency...” which is rather dodgy! Just a word of caution to everyone - stay alert!

I am the unfortunate partner of the individual who received a call from this number, where the person identified himself as Christopher Wells, claiming to be from the Starling Bank fraud protection team. He was exceedingly courteous and even provided me with personal information, before seamlessly transferring me to his “supervisor,” who guided me through an array of additional security measures to build my confidence. They proceeded to request an alarming amount of information, including my card numbers, and ultimately, my Starling Bank payment code. As a result, they swiftly drained every single penny from my account, funneling it into some cryptocurrency scheme. What sort of despicable individuals resort to such tactics for a living? You embody everything that’s wrong in society. You’re detestable, parasitic, and devoid of any compassion. One day, the consequences of your actions will catch up with you. It's a shame I won’t be around to mock you in your moment of reckoning!
