I received a rather concerning automated voicemail from someone claiming to be the "HMRC" tax office. It's definitely not a trustworthy contact-I'd advise you to block the number immediately!

I got a call from +44 20 7917 5344 claiming to be from HMRC about my tax situation. They put me through to someone else who immediately asked what I wanted and then asked for my name. I told them they should have my details up front if they really knew who they were contacting. After that, the line just went dead. From what I understand, HMRC never ring you directly like this, and they’d already have your info anyway. This number is definitely dodgy - steer clear!
