Got a call like this myself. It was dead silent for about 6 seconds so I just ended it straight away. Looking back, if I’d realised it was a scam, I might've let them hang about while I switched on my laptop, then just left the phone off to the side and carried on with whatever I was doing.

Got a call from this number around 5.49pm, I was on hold forever so I just ended the call. Looked them up on Google afterwards, heads up! Don’t get drawn into talking to them, these lot really need to be stopped.

Got a call from a lady called Jenny who said there were issues with my computer. She seemed eager to get loads of details from me. I just ended the call straight away.

I took the call since I couldn’t see the number clearly because of my poor eyesight. It was on Tuesday, 26th May, around 2.20pm. At first there was a bit of a delay. A man answered, sounding quite aggressive and rude, asking for the owner of a computer. His accent was foreign and he spoke unclearly, mentioning something about a tag or whatever. I told him I had no idea what he was on about and asked who he thought he was speaking to. I said he was being really unpleasant and ended the call. Makes me worried about elderly or vulnerable people getting calls like this.

Someone called saying there was an issue with my internet and asked me to log on to my laptop so they could sort it out. They then wanted my passwords, which made me hang up straight away.

I got a call from what looked like a UK number, so I picked up. There was a weird pause before someone spoke, then a lady told me there was something wrong with my computer. I told her straight away it was a scam. She kept insisting it wasn’t, sounded quite convincing actually. I reckon older folks might easily fall for it. In the end, they just hung up.

Just got a call around 2 in the afternoon, same old story about issues with my computer. I told the polite woman on the line, who seemed to have an accent, to jog on and sort herself out.

It was clearly a scam call trying to get into my computer, probably to steal information. Definitely just con artists on the line.
