I didn’t pick up, but they left a voicemail from a lady with a strong American accent claiming to be 'Officer something' from HMRC. She said I needed to ring back straight away and warned me not to ignore it or there'd be serious trouble. She kept going on about a solicitor or something, but I stopped listening. Honestly, you’d think these scammers could use their time for something less dodgy than hassling people.

Got a robocall saying it was from HMRE, but it was obviously a scam.

I ignored the call because the number was unfamiliar. Had a similar one in the past, with threats about being arrested and all that, so I just blocked it straight away. Seems they keep coming back though, very persistent.

Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be “officer dennis grey,” but it was a woman with an American accent leaving the message. She said my “solicitor of record” needed to ring them back straight away about some HMRC issue or else I’d be in trouble. Total rubbish if you ask me. Reported it through the BT scam reporting thing, even though it came through my mobile. This is the second scam call I’ve had in one day - seriously, when will they stop pestering us?!

Got a voicemail claiming they were from the Inland Revenue, saying I was facing legal trouble. Definitely not from the real tax office.

I rang the number they called me from and they said I’d received paperwork from HMRC. They started asking for my tax details and warned me I’d be arrested if I didn’t pay up. Don’t ever share any info on calls like this. They’ll throw around case numbers and all that stuff - best to report it straight to the police.
