I’m so fed up with these calls constantly coming through. They’re clearly trying to rip us off, so make sure you never share any of your info with them.

Just got a ring from someone named Grace - what a joke! Another total scammer trying to trick people!!!!

This appears to be a fraudulent scheme, possibly relating to PPI or other such nonsense.

Some bloke rang saying there'd been a new law change and I could get some interest back on my credit card. I just told him where to shove it and ended the call.

Got a ring from this number, some woman said her name was Grace. She started saying I might be due a refund, but I quickly asked "who's this?" in a bit of a blunt way, and she just went quiet and hung up. It really winds me up how organisations, even local councils, seem to pass on your info to these dodgy folks so they can try and con you. Honestly, feels like we ought to take legal action against the government for letting it go on!

They ring me constantly and whenever I pick up, there's nothing but silence for a bit before they just cut off the call. It's really annoying!

This number 02078711288 rings me almost daily at all sorts of times, sometimes as early as 8.45 in the morning and others as late as 10.20 at night. Strangely, whenever I pick up, no one talks. I work as a delivery driver and my job phone is the one I use mostly, reserving my own mobile just for urgent stuff. So every time this number comes up, I have to stop the van to answer, which is a right pain. Does anyone know how to block them for good?

this number keeps ringing me for like two weeks straight... I just ignore it every time it calls now, getting really frustrating!

They keep calling me every day, but I don’t pick up. Today alone I’ve gotten three annoying calls - this number, one that was blocked, and another that showed as unavailable. Really fed up with it now.

So, just now I got a call warning me that my computer's apparently got viruses that might wipe all my files. Then they wanted me to sign into Google, but I just hung up straight away. Seems like they're trying a new angle this time.

Funny thing happened to me the other day, got a phone call from a woman saying she was with some kind of debt recovery firm and that apparently the banks owed me cash. But right near the end, she wanted my date of birth and that’s when I just threw out 1900 as my year and let the call run on without me saying more (didn't even hang up). Whenever someone starts getting my name right, knows where I live and starts talking about "the government," I instantly reckon it’s a dodgy scam, probably some scammer down in Scotland!

This number’s been pestering me non-stop, probably a scam or something. Can TPS do something to block it? It’s really annoying!

She called asking if she could speak to me by name and mentioned something about a potential refund. Then she said she had to ask me a couple of questions, starting with whether I’d taken out a mortgage or loan in the past decade. I didn’t say a word, just told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call straight away.

Got a ring from this number earlier! Some posh lady on the other end saying I’m due a refund. I just told her nicely to buzz off.

It’s a total con, really. They'll claim they can process a refund for you, but first, they’ll ask for your bank or credit card information to facilitate it… Don’t divulge any personal details! Just tell them you’re not the individual they’re after, and that you’ve never heard of the name they provided. Otherwise, expect a barrage of calls from them. These days, it’s wise to respond to any phone call with “Who’s calling?” rather than simply saying “Yes, that’s me.” You may feel a bit silly doing it, but wouldn’t you rather have your family chuckling at your odd phone etiquette rather than falling victim to a scam in this tech-filled world? :)
12 years
Watch out, it's a total con. They claim they want to sort out a refund for you, but then they ask for your bank or card details to 'process' it. Never give out any personal info. Just say you're not the person they're after, or you don't know anyone with that name. Otherwise, they'll ring you over and over. These days, it's smart to answer the phone by asking "Who's this?" instead of just saying "Yes?" Might feel a bit odd, but better your family thinks you're being a bit odd than getting ripped off in this digital era!

Got a call earlier today while I was a bit preoccupied after a run-in with a meter reader who blocked my driveway to check the street meters. The person on the other end was a well-spoken lady, no typical foreign accent you'd expect from scammers. She mentioned I might be owed a refund from my bank and said I'd get some paperwork through the post soon. She somehow already had my name and address, and foolishly I told her which bank I use when she asked. After hanging up, I immediately realised I’d made a mistake and tried calling the number back (another dumb move). The automated message said it was a mobile call centre. Reading about these scams now has me really worried - I’ll be contacting my bank straight away to double check.

This caller wasn’t only annoying, but downright disrespectful. They kept asking for a name I’ve never heard of. When I inquired about where they were calling from, they claimed it was “The refund department at Consumer Report.” I told them to remove my phone number from their list, and without warning, the rude person just slammed the phone down on me before I finished talking. Does anyone know if there's a way to find out who’s actually behind these calls? I’d like to report them properly.

My old aunt got a call from these lot on a Sunday afternoon - you'd think that kind of thing would be banned, right? They tricked her into telling them her bank name, claiming she had some refund coming, until I grabbed the phone off her. It’s shocking how many sales calls she gets constantly... and there doesn’t seem to be any way to put a stop to it.

So this number called me again, early on a Sunday, woke us all up thinking it was urgent or something. They had phoned a few days ago trying to get hold of my youngest lad, claiming he was due a refund from his bank or some nonsense like that. Bloody annoying if you ask me!

Total scam alert. Got a call from a woman claiming my bank was supposed to pay me money... I just told her there was no money owed to me by my bank. This sort of thing really needs to be blocked before someone falls for their rubbish.

Got two calls in the past day from someone asking for my husband specifically. Yesterday, I said to ring after 8pm but no luck. Today when I answered, she mentioned something about a 'refund'. When I asked for more info, she just cut me off straight away! We’re listed as ex-directory as well. It’s not the calls I mind so much, but their attitude is really off-putting.

I got a call from 02078711288 today and honestly, these annoying calls are driving me mad. My number's ex-directory so I have no idea how they managed to get hold of it. I just don’t bother answering my phone anymore because of it.

They rang asking for Miss ............ and when I asked who was calling, the line just went dead. Seriously, what do they expect? That I just hand over info to someone I don’t even know? Don’t fall for their 'can’t tell you because of data protection' rubbish. Data protection goes both ways, folks. Don’t give them anything, not even if they say they'll give you a number to call back on - chances are it’s the same crook pretending or some sort of scam team. Stay sharp!

Once more, this unanticipated call has put an end to my dealings with them.

I’ve got no idea who this call was from; they hung up almost immediately. It seemed like one of those annoying cold calls trying to sell insurance, probably because I’ve got a policy coming up for renewal!

Got a call where they totally messed up saying my name, then mentioned something about me possibly getting a refund. I tried to tell them I was tied up and they just hung up. Feels like it would’ve ended up as one of those deals where they want your info and promise a refund later.
