Someone rang me claiming they were from the 'Road Traffic Department' saying I’d been in a car crash. I asked to talk to a manager, wanting to get more info. They said their name was Avon Alternative and that they were some independent outfit working alongside the Road Traffic Department. When I tried to get their address and phone number, they just ended the call on me.

I was on FaceTime when this number called. After I finished my chat, I decided to call them back. They asked me to press 1 to speak to an operator or something like that. Then the lady mentioned something about a car crash, so I told her I hadn’t been in one. She just said sorry and ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me.
