Received a call from someone purporting to be from Currencies Direct, insisting that I had some sort of contract with them. The problem is that I’ve never had any dealings with that company whatsoever. It’s undoubtedly a scam! If you've had a similar experience, I recommend blocking their number immediately!

Asked them nicely to take us off their list, and they replied with “I will speak to your FD.” Sounds shady to me, like a proper SCAM or FRAUD. Blocked the number straight away.

got a call from this number, and instead of a normal voicemail, they left a long instrumental tune. the number showed up as london, but when i rang back, it connected me to mumbai. spoke with two people, sheldon and alex, both said they worked for currencies direct, which they claimed is based in the uk at 1 canada square, canary wharf. neither could explain why the call showed a london number or why the message was just music. seemed dodgy the whole time. unsolicited calls and pretending to be from the uk but actually based in mumbai. seriously, stay clear.

This is a legitimate company; they specialise in online transfers and currency exchanges. My business relies on their services, and I can confidently say their rates are more favourable compared to going through a traditional bank for international transactions. We also utilise their services for personal dealings, though I've noticed that the rates aren’t quite as competitive when the amounts are smaller. Perhaps that's due to the lower volumes involved? All things considered, they do a decent job overall.
