I received a call claiming to be from O2, offering me a 40% discount on my calls. The caller was rather pushy, and when I hung up, I decided to ring back. To my surprise, they answered my husband’s phone and didn't even bat an eyelid at the fact it was answered by me, a woman, rather than him. Definitely raised some red flags for me!

They kept asking how much I pay for my internet, seems like they’ll do anything to grab your bank info or get you signed up so you end up with nothing at all.

Got a call today from this number claiming to be from O2. They were saying something about lowering my monthly bill, but the connection was pretty bad. They mentioned they’d ring me back, but never did.

Got a call on my phone from a woman with an Indian accent, claiming to be from O2 billing. She said I could get 30% off and then handed me over to a ‘senior team member’. I asked if she could email me the info but she wouldn’t. When I requested his direct number to call back, he just said ‘you can ring me on this number, cheers’ and ended the call. Bit fishy if you ask me.

I received a call regarding a rather tempting 50% discount on my O2 contract. The caller requested that I respond to some security questions, but I wasn’t comfortable with that at all, so I politely declined and ended the conversation. Not long after, the same number tried to reach me again, but I swiftly blocked it.

Got a text claiming to be from O2, then I got a one-time passcode right after. I tried ringing 202 but the automated system just didn’t get what I was saying, ended up stuck. While I was trying to get through to O2, this number called me, but I didn’t pick up. There’s way too many scams going around pretending to be O2 these days.

Got three calls from this number, didn’t pick up, then got a couple of texts claiming to be from O2. They said there was some security alert about scams and told me to ring 202 to keep my account safe. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with O2 saying they were reviewing contracts and offering a 40% discount on monthly plans. They mentioned sending an email along with two codes to my phone to redeem the deal. Problem is, I’m not even an O2 customer! Also, this morning I missed a call from 01233 542989, which I reckon is linked. The caller’s accent was really hard to follow, had to ask him to repeat himself a few times. When I said I could hear him but couldn’t understand, he didn’t take it well at all... Definitely felt like a scam, so I just blocked and deleted the number.

I kept telling them to prove they knew my name if they were really from O2, but they kept dodging the question and just kept talking about some texts about my password being changed... which it totally wasn't. Legit, watch out for these scams! Avoid at all costs!

Got calls from numbers in London and Leeds over the past few days, all claiming to be from O2. This started after I got a mysterious MFA code I never asked for. I checked with the real O2, and they said it’s some scam going around right now to try and hack accounts. Be careful!

I got a call from some dodgy numbers claiming they were from o2, trying to trick me into giving them a security code. Funny thing is, I had just got a text with a code from o2 seconds before their call. Then, out of nowhere, two more calls came through from different numbers but clearly the same scam trying to get my info. Definitely blocked all of them. Watch out for these scammers!

This was definitely a scam! The caller said they were from o2 and promised a 40% discount. They asked me to give them a code, supposedly from o2, so they could get into my account. But o2 had sent me a message warning me never to share that code with anyone. As soon as I said this, they just ended the call.

I received a phone call earlier today, and the individual claimed to be from O2, purportedly reviewing their monthly users' contracts in order to provide a generous 40% discount. They mentioned that I would receive an email along with two codes sent to my mobile for me to redeem. The catch? I don’t even hold a contract with O2! Moreover, I missed a call from 01233 542989 this morning, which I suspect is linked to the same operation. The caller’s accent was rather challenging to decipher, so much so that I found myself asking him to repeat his points several times. When I explained that I could hear him but struggled to understand, he didn’t seem pleased at all. Clearly, it’s a scam, hence I’ve swiftly deleted and blocked the number.
