Got a call like the others at the top, some sort of service that blocks calls. Never had this one before, a bit of a relief compared to the usual "your internet will be cut off in 24 hours" scam! The caller was a woman with an Asian accent. I just said, “Oh great, a service that blocks calls like yours!” and hung up. She called me back straight away! Told her, “Leave me alone, I’m not interested in your service!” She sounded pretty shocked. Hung up again. These calls are such a pain. Why do they keep calling if we clearly don’t want anything to do with it?

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who started with "I believe I'm speaking to..." I told him straight up to say who he was or I'd be hanging up. He tried to waffle a bit but I wasn’t having it, so I just blocked his number and ended the call.

Most times, they start with "Hiya, how's it going?" and then they ask if they’re speaking to Mr "XXX XXXXX". The person on the line, a woman with an accent that sounded Asian, said she was from some nuisance call blocking service. The name Angelique was mentioned too. I just hung up straight away. Seems like this call turned out to be a proper dodgy one - got a bloke called ‘Dave’ with an Asian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media. He said my PC was leaking bad info or something and tried to get me to open the ‘Event Viewer’ to prove it. Had a laugh messing about with him for like 15 minutes until he twigged I wasn’t taking him seriously. Tried reporting the number to Virgin Media, but I’m sure these scammers won’t care one bit. Total SCAM!

I told him, with his obvious Indian accent, that any claims had already been sorted through the right channels. Strange how these calls always start once my insurance switched the fault from me to the other driver.
