I could barely understand the caller due to their strong foreign accent, but I did catch that they purported to be from TalkTalk. The thing is, I’m not even a TalkTalk customer! These persistent calls come from a whole host of different numbers. I've discovered that activating a personal alarm works wonders in putting a swift end to such conversations!

I received a total of five calls yesterday, the 5th of January, and even when I was out today, they keep trying. Each time I answer, there's just this awkward silence for a moment, and then some foreign-sounding chap starts rambling on about my computer problems-if I don’t cut him off first! By the time that fifth call rolled around, I’d had enough and practically yelled, "Cease calling me!" I've lodged a complaint with Talk-Talk about these incessant disturbances.

Received a call at 11:45 from someone claiming to be part of BT's technical team. My wife, sceptical as always, inquired how he could prove his affiliation with BT. To our surprise, he retorted with, "If you want to verify, you can just sod off!"

Got another call claiming to be from 'TalkTalk', but it somehow slipped past my call blocker since it looked like a genuine London number. It seems this company, whoever they may be, is attempting to dupe people into granting them control of their computers. My advice is to just ignore them and report the nuisance - though, to be fair, the Telephone Preference Service hasn't been much help in this matter.

Got a call from this number today, a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from TalkTalk, warning me my service was going to be disconnected. He went on about needing me to do something on my laptop to link up with their system. At that moment, I felt uneasy, told him I’d end the call and ring TalkTalk personally. Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from TalkTalk. He told me to visit the TeamViewer site, which I soon figured out was for remote control. That’s when I twigged it was a scam, so I told him to just send me a letter if he really was from TalkTalk.

My missus picked up when the phone rang but then it just cut off straight away. Later, we saw it was a mobile number that called us back, so we didn’t bother. Seems dodgy, like one of those scams trying to trick you into dialling an expensive line.
