I got a call from someone saying they're Virgin Media Broadband, but it’s a total con. They said I had to pay postage for a new modem for an “upgrade” and asked for my card details plus bank info to set up direct debit. When I questioned who had approved this upgrade, they started swearing, threatening me, and then just hung up. Virgin Media themselves told me it wasn’t legit and not connected to them at all.
