Got a call on my home phone from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, saying there was an issue with our computer. This is the second time they've done this. When I told them we don't actually have a computer, there was a long pause and then they just hung up. We do have a PC, and it's working perfectly fine.

Today I got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft. He asked if I owned the “computer” and warned about viruses and internet dangers. Then he started spouting some rubbish. I told him straight up it was nonsense. He ended up calling me an “old man”, which makes me think these scammers are after older people. I've had loads of calls like this before, so I’m used to it. My tip? Just say you don’t have a computer, but don’t be surprised if they ring again.

Got a call from someone saying my computer had a problem, tried to get me to let them remote access it. Definitely a scam!
