Got a robocall from RSPB saying "we tried reaching you today but it’s not urgent, we’ll try again," then it dropped another number, 0800665430, to ring if you wanna stop the calls. When you call that, it’s another automated message telling you to punch in your own number so they can take it off their list. Apparently, it takes about a day to kick in. Let’s wait and see if it works.

RSPB. (Just come across this website, really useful). I ordered the birdwatching kit for my elderly mum but used my mobile number, so don’t pick up if it rings. Glad I did, otherwise she’d be bombarded by these annoying calls, and she only has a landline with no caller display.

RSPB calls are always about asking for money since they’re a charity. I can’t really afford to donate as I already give more than £500 monthly to other causes. Still, I always try to pick seeds that help contribute to the RSPB when I’m shopping.

So it seems this was the RSPB replying to someone asking for a Birdpack for that Garden Bird survey they show on telly. Why do we have to put up with this rubbish? I get loads of scam calls these days (though this one wasn’t one of them) so I don’t even bother with an answerphone anymore, and only pick up if I’m expecting a call from family or work.
