I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk, trying to tell me about some issue with our router and its security settings. She acknowledged that we were no longer customers of theirs but insisted there was a problem that required their assistance. When I requested her phone number for a callback, she provided me with an already flagged number, 02036083056. After using the 1471 service, I confirmed that the number she called from matched the one I've mentioned. It’s becoming a real nuisance, as we’ve been bombarded with calls from individuals with Indian accents, even though we've registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Several times, the calls have come through with "No Number" displayed when I tried to check. I'll be reporting this latest incident as well.

Someone called saying they were from TalkTalk to sort out renewing my router. She asked me to be at my computer during the call. I couldn’t keep up with how fast she was talking, and her name sounded way too English compared to the way she spoke.

I kept answering but no one spoke, then they just hung up on me. When I tried calling back the first time, after missing the call on my landline, it just went straight to voicemail. Totally feels like a scam call to me.

Like others have said, I've been getting heaps of calls daily about my internet. They keep saying they're from my internet provider, but as soon as I ask which company, they just cut me off. It's usually 3 or 4 calls every day. The person on the line has the same Pakistani accent each time and there's always a lot of noise in the background. If I try to question them in any way, they just hang up straight away.

Got a dodgy call from someone pretending to be my internet provider. They said they were BT but hung up as soon as I told them I wasn’t with BT!

I got a call from this number saying they were from BT, asking about some internet issue. Problem is, we’re with TalkTalk, not BT. They told me to use my laptop, open the run command and type ‘data’ or something along those lines, which I didn’t feel comfortable with, so I just ended the call. After that, they kept ringing back loads, but I didn’t pick up most of the time. The first guy sounded like he had a Pakistani or Indian accent and there was a lot of background noise like an office, but the guy claiming to be his manager spoke with a UK accent.
