10 yearsI've had this number pop up on my phone four times today whilst I was out and about. I finally picked up the call on Tuesday at 16:40, and the chap on the other end introduced himself as Joe from extension 102. He claimed to represent some national service aimed at halting all those pesky sales calls coming from places like India, China, and Pakistan. He mentioned that it would only set me back £1.99 a month if I was a pensioner. Then he proceeded to recite my address, which was a bit concerning, and asked for my debit card number. When I questioned how he obtained my information and why I should hand over any details, he acknowledged my hesitation but insisted it would help eliminate unwanted calls. I firmly told him there was no chance I would provide him with that kind of information. He then mentioned that a pack would be dispatched to me, but I'm simply not interested.JoeIndiaChinaPakistan10 yearsGot a phone call from someone named Luke, he was trying to convince me to pay £1.90 a month to stop sales calls. He told me to grab a pen and paper to note down his number. When I asked him why, he just muttered some rubbish, like ‘oh f.0.’, and then hung up right away.11 yearsGot a call from some bloke called Neil, extension 108, said he was with some call protection service. He asked if I was getting annoying calls and if I was over 45 to offer a pensioner rate of £1.90 a month. When I told him I wasn’t interested in paying anything, he just hung up on me.Neil11 yearsGot a call last Friday around 12:50 from a guy who said his name was Luke. Feels a bit dodgy, is this some kind of scam?StephenIndiaChinaPakistan11 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call on Monday at 11:40 from someone who identified himself as Stephen, claiming to be with a telecom company. He mentioned something about eliminating all those pesky marketing calls from overseas, particularly from India, China, and Pakistan, for a nominal fee. He even inquired if I was a pensioner! I informed him that my son takes care of such things, and just like that, the line went silent. Sounds dodgy, doesn’t it?
