Somebody rang up pretending to be from BT Open Reach’s “technical team” telling me to install an app that’d supposedly find hackers on my internet. It didn’t sit right at all. When I asked for a reference number, they just wouldn’t give one. Got really annoyed when I told them I’d call Open Reach direct to check if there was a real problem. Definitely felt like a scam to me.
