Got a call at about 6:47 saying they were from TalkTalk, went through all the usual security checks. They then said they were sorting out my laptop after some hacking that happened last year. Fast forward 3 hours and £1310 has disappeared from my bank account. I found it weird when I mentioned an engineer was scheduled to visit on the 8th, but they insisted there was no need for a call. If you reckon it’s dodgy, trust your instincts. This was definitely some sneaky scammer having a dig.
