Honestly, I’ve worked on a film with this lot and they mentioned I could jump in for other projects too. The vibe on set was really chilled and I didn’t feel any stress. Just gotta hang on until this lockdown ends because of Covid, but I’m excited to get back in front of the camera. Also, quick heads up - they only charge for the test shoot if you don’t already have one. They just want to see if you’re comfortable on screen, so filming a bit with a mate holding the camera is usually fine.

If you’re thinking about getting tested for an STD, the clinics around here can be a real pain - in London, I ended up paying £200 just to get tested for one infection. Honestly, I’d rather use services like these instead of waiting ages at a clinic. This definitely isn’t their real number. I recently dealt with a new agency claiming they’re legit with no upfront fees or charges, except this weird demand to pay for them to send me a letter, which felt totally fishy. I forked out for this letter, but it looked like a badly forged document with rubbish all over it, signed by some ‘Mike Green’. They told me I owe them cash for STD testing, which is nonsense because you can just go to a local clinic, get tested for free, then have the results emailed or given to them directly once you confirm your details. No cost at all. They even sent photos of two models they said they work with, but when I searched, it turns out those people don’t exist and apparently they’ve been recycling those photos for years. I also tried a different firm called Lushmedia, same scam, never heard back or got my money returned. Honestly, don’t trust these lot. I’ll just stick to creating my own stuff, cheers.

They explain they have to charge because loads of people bail, but the crew and model still deserve their pay. I've shot four scenes so far and was paid right away. The film crew’s brilliant, but don’t bother applying if you’re uncomfortable on camera - they mentioned that’s the main issue they face.

I got the STD kit and it came the very next day, way simpler than trying to get an NHS appointment (plus loads of places in London wanna charge you like £200 for this stuff). If you want, you can even pop into their London office.

I’m pretty sure these lot are total con artists. I paid upfront for a video shoot more than three years ago, and they kept coming up with all sorts of reasons why they couldn’t get my promo filmed - camera crew this, unavailable that. I spoke to the same bloke loads of times, and each time he’d greet me like “Hi, I’m … We haven’t chatted before,” but it was always the same chap. Don’t trust the glowing reviews you see, they’re clearly made up, and these people will just take your cash and run.

Around three years ago, I dealt with this number and ended up filing a fraud complaint. At first, I was asked to pay a "deposit," but as soon as I did, I started getting suspicious and asked a lot of questions. They sent me a postcard with a model named Fiona Miller, apparently from a photoshoot. I’d share it online to warn others, but I’m not sure where to put it. I got a call from thestudiolondon co uk, also known as amateursfunstudio london and Weareup4it, about an interview. They told me about the trailer they can put together if I pay a deposit first. They showed me some clips from past promos and explained that loads of the guys either flake or can’t perform during shooting, so the deposit makes sense. After that, I chose to make my own video without paying the deposit and ended up filming my first one with them last week. They’ve got studios down in Surrey and earned a bit from the straightforward shoot. Unlike other places in the UK that try to tack on membership fees, this studio seems like a decent place to get started!

I’ve checked out a few adult agencies across Liverpool, Manchester and Bristol, and every single one wanted some kind of deposit upfront to weed out time wasters. Honestly, loads of them charge between £600 and £1000 just to register! Last month I went for an interview with weareup4it, and they were different because they asked for a video from me too. I made my own clip, went to the interview, and already got some gigs with them. Funny thing is, on the straight film I acted in, most of the lads couldn’t keep up for longer than half an hour, it was that bad. Quality of performers wasn’t great at all!

Mate, just got back from Amateur Studios over in Marylebone and honestly, it’s a complete rip off. They take your cash upfront but then don’t give you any gigs at all. Honestly, these comments are rubbish. This isn’t a scam at all because they actually ask if you can send them your own video rather than just promoting with them. I did a few videos for them back in 2013 myself. If they were trying to scam, they wouldn’t bother with interviews - they’d just demand your cash straight off the bat!

Just checked online to see if this was for real and reading these comments made me decide to give it a miss. The address they provided turns out to be a mailbox rental place, no actual studio there. Plus, I couldn't track down any info on the girls they said I could work with for the film. Avoided spending £189 thanks to this! Totally a scam, don't get tricked by these guys, they'll just steal your cash! The guy called Peter, who’s black, and this Michael bloke are both con artists. They claim to be at 79 York Street London W1H 1QQ and also 67 York Street London W1H 1QA, but there’s no real studio there. They survive by fooling people with fake job offers. Basically, they drag you into some rubbish photo shoot at their office, film you having sex once, then that’s the lot. They promise tonnes of gigs afterwards, but it’s all a load of bollocks, plus their rates on the site are a complete lie. They operate under names like U4it, Amateurs Fun Studio, Mature Studio and Studio88. Avoid at all costs!

So I paid £189 and had to do a standard test and blood test, then sent a pic of the results. After that, I went for the first injection. You pay upfront but only get paid after the second shot. I've done loads of research, phoned them lots and it looks legit. I’ll let you know how it goes when I head back for the next one.

I put in an application back in December 2012, and absolutely nothing ever came of it. Honestly, your entire comment seems pretty insincere, but people can always say whatever they want. If making £3k from a single clip is that easy, why not just film the movies yourself and cash in big? As someone else mentioned earlier, some folks are just after a free lay. Nothing comes without a catch these days. I gotta say, a few comments I've read here feel a bit dodgy and even borderline racist. When I went for my interview, they were pretty upfront and helpful, telling me everything I needed to know. They even let me pick whether I wanted to make the clip myself, but I decided to get them to do it. It was done back in June, and they handed me a DVD copy right after.

i went to the interview too and they made everything pretty clear. it was completely up to me whether i wanted to proceed or not, no pressure at all. they even told me i could get my clip movie made somewhere else if i preferred, not necessarily by them.

I guess it’s straightforward - people who are happy don’t usually bother to comment, but the ones who are upset tend to exaggerate just to get some attention. If I were tricked by these guys or any other firm, I wouldn’t waste months online moaning and trying to rally others. I’d just chat with a lawyer for a bit and sort out getting my cash and dignity back quickly. That said, it’s clearly not the situation here. They seem genuine and decent.

I had my interview today and from what I gathered, it seems like they’re running the exact same scam. Do they actually end up doing a shoot or is it all just talk? If there’s no real shoot, then they probably don’t have any proof against you, so I don’t see why you shouldn’t report them to the police.

Hey everyone! So, I went to this interview earlier today and the guy who was interviewing me, he was a black bloke, said the computer picks only one person out of like 50 applicants. Then he started asking me what type of porn I’m interested in doing. I said just straight stuff. After that, he said if that’s the case, I’d have to be with three girls at once, plus I’d need to show up a day early to just have sex with one girl, but that part wouldn’t be filmed or paid. Also, he mentioned all the cameras would be operated by women, the filming would last 5 hours, and I’d get £300 for it. Has anyone done this before, does it make sense to get paid that little? Would appreciate any advice before I go any further!

It’s just threats at this point. I’m thinking someone should go undercover to catch these lot out. If anyone’s been duped or dealt with these scammers, drop me a line at [email protected]. And to the con artists reading this, watch your backs - I’m planning to expose you on camera. Might even get the coppers involved. The more folks who reach out, the stronger the case, and I’ll work to get every penny back. It’ll take some time, but I won’t rest until it’s done. I’m going to leave them with nothing to hide. Once I gather enough complaints, I could even secure a warrant to raid their place and seize evidence under the fraud act.

Absolutely a total scam, don’t get caught out! These guys will just take your cash and nothing else. The bloke called Peter, who’s black, and Michael are both con artists. Their addresses are 79 York Street London W1H 1QQ and 67 York Street London W1H 1QA, but they don’t have any real studio. Basically, they trick people with false promises of work. What they call a ‘photoshoot’ is rubbish, done in their office where they film you once during sex and that's all. Afterwards, they say there’s plenty more jobs, but their website rates are pure lies. They operate under names like U4it, Amateurs Fun Studio, Mature Studio, and Studio88. It’s much better to do your homework and find a genuine company with actual videos. They call from this number and also from 0207246715.

Oh wow, lucky I stumbled on this site! I got this letter with a photo of some woman named Segolene Marin. The letter was labelled 'live video clip appointment schedule card', plus there was some payment slip asking for a £96 deposit, supposedly to secure the booking. How they came up with that figure, beats me. But now I’m proper ready to tell them to jog on, in no uncertain terms. If what you’re saying here is right, it’s gotta be a total scam. I haven’t paid anything yet, but I was dangerously close. Not anymore though!

Is there anything that can be done about this? The bloke seems really sure of himself. Every time I ring the office, he brags about having mates in the local police and basically says I’m powerless! Plus, the elderly chap who answers the phone sounds like he’s been in prison before. Seriously, the first step should be to report these men to Action Fraud. I’m honestly shocked their website hasn’t been taken down yet.

I went for an interview to become an amateur gay porn actor, but the people I was supposed to meet were all busy. Instead, a middle-aged black guy interviewed me. He spent ages talking, showed me some porn, and said I could come back to shoot a video with a shemale. He handed me a pack with a form asking for a £189 bank transfer. I paid, but since then, nobody's got back to me or answered my calls. Before the interview, they were quick to pick up, although it seemed like different staff each time. Now I realise it was a total scam :'(
