They put me through some sort of “security check” where I was asked to provide my name (not entirely sure why). Then, the line connected, and I heard what sounded like a very young child's voice on the other end saying “hello?” It felt quite bizarre, almost as if it were pre-recorded, interspersed with strange beeps. If you're tempted to ring them back, I’d recommend using a made-up name or, better still, just keep silent. Even wiser would be to avoid calling back altogether. I only did because I initially believed it might be a legitimate number (I checked a couple of websites, and there were no reports or any indication anyone had investigated this number).3 yearsThis number rang me earlier and honestly, it felt pretty odd.
